  • been a while since my last update... busy month.

greg just started another new job this past week. he works in housekeeping (custodial) at CBN, which is located right across from where i go to school. it is full-time, thankfully, although the hours suck: 4:30pm-1:00am. but it is regular hours and a monday-friday job. after six months he will be allowed to transfer to another dept., so hopefully he'll be able to find something that has a little more to do with his degree. oh yes, he's still working at the evil portrait studio as well, but only 3 days a week there starting next week.

i might be dropping down to half-time status next semester.

we were majorly blessed by greg's new work place - they gave us a food basket for thanksgiving, including a big frozen turkey! so, we can actually fix a thanksgiving dinner. yay! btw, does anyone know what exactly collard greens are? ...

edited my first film at regent. i'll put them on my page shortly, but for right now you can view them on youtube:

    Random...
a quote i heard on private practice this week: "Does it really get better, or do you just bury it deeper?"
that about sums up how i feel.

  • greg has a *2nd* interview this friday! eeee!!! it's with the portrait studio at sears. don't really know if it's part-time or full-time, but he'll be taking it either way. it will give him good experience with camera work. if it's part-time he'll just have to work two jobs.
so, please pray tha the gets this, because we really need an income! =)

what else... pulled an all-nighter last night for a 10-page paper. working on another one (not sure how long...) tonight.

... got my eyebrow pierced! i've been wanting to for years now. that and my nose. but considering how bad my allergies have been, it would've been dumb to get my nose pierced.

a week from wednesday i'm going to chicago for a few days. i have to do a planning thing for my wedding album with the photography studio. it will be nice to see greg's family (he doesn't get to come) but october's just so darn busy.

    3-6: chicago
    8-12: fall film
19-23: mel, josh, and steve are visiting
    30: my birthday!

plus at least 4 papers, plus some other projects.

well, i should get started on this other paper now...

so, yes, finally... i'm married!  for almost a month now.  although it hasn't felt like it at times because we've had practically no privacy at all since we've been back from the honeymoon.  bascially, we can't move into our place in virginia until next week, so we've been living in random places since we've gotten back.

we're currently in florida, and it's hot as hell here.  (it was wonderful to *finally* leave kentucky...) we took urshie and ben to the airport this morning, and sent them on their way back to germany.  definitely sad.  i love that girl.  we just... get each other.  it'll probably be a couple years before i see her again

on the upside of it, we finally have some privacy for the first time in about two weeks.  =)

we move into our new place on monday!  sadly, it could be up to three more weeks before we get our stuff.  i ended up going with a moving company kinda' last second, because the other plan didn't work out.  moving is waaayyy expensive... =(

i have my first class at regent on the 27th.  pray that greg will at least find a temporary job quickly, and preferably one in his field relatively soon.

over the next few weeks i should have some time to finish editing my pictures so i can post some, especially if it takes a while to get our stuff.  i promise i'll eventually post pictures from the wedding, honeymoon, and florida.  in the meantime, you can view the proofs from the photographer with the above information.

    later!

oh yeah, we got two turtles.  they're named squirtle and koopa.

  • only 5 days left 'till greg and i get married!   woOt!

    excited doesn't quite describe it...

urshie, ben, and caroline arrived in on thursday, so it's definitely been fun seeing them again.  my parents will arrive sometime late tonight.

finished my programs (with the help of the riegers) and today is quarantined off to work on the video and get as much of that done as i can.

which means i shouldn't be posting a blog...

    =)
